March 23, 2011 - The 2011 Rails-to-Trails Conservancy (RTC) Greenway Sojourn is coming to our area!
There is no better way to see our local trails and meet interesting new people that to participate in a bicycle sojourn. From July 19-24 the annual RTC sojourn will come to the following trails: Ghosttown, Hoodlebug, Roaring Run, West Penn and Westmoreland Heritage Trails. March 08, 2011 - Persons with Impairments Permitted to Use Electric Bikes
For those trail users that have physical impairments but still want to see a large portion of the trail, new regulations allow for the use for electric powered bikes and trikes. You may want to read more about the new regulations.
April 04, 2009 - Use GoodSearch for your web searching and a penny per search comes to the CVC!
The Conemaugh Valley Conservancy has teamed up with GoodSearch and GoodShop. GoodSearch (powered by Yahoo's search engine) provides the CVC with 1 penny for each search performed. GoodShop provides the CVC with a percentage (up to 37%) of every purchase made through the GoodShop portal. (GoodShop represents many name brand retailers such as Walmart, Target, Amazon.com and many more.) Please consider helping the CVC by making GoodSearch your default search engine.
